How we select tours

The eight cruises featured on this site were chosen on three criteria: review volume (we lead with the most-reviewed tour in each category), average rating, and category coverage (we want at least one strong option for each cruise type — daytime architecture, family-friendly, sunset, night, fireworks, and dining). Commission rate is not a factor in selection or ranking.

Operators

The cruises featured on this site are operated by Wendella Tours & Cruises (since 1935), Shoreline Sightseeing, the Chicago Architecture Center aboard Chicago's First Lady, City Cruises, and others. We are not affiliated with, owned by, or controlled by any of these operators or by the Chicago Architecture Center. We are an independent tour-comparison site.
